This Tuesday, September 30, the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, held a meeting with his counterpart from Colombia, Yannai Kadamani Fonrodona, within the framework of the World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development that is taking place in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.

Through his Telegram channel, he stressed that the meeting was favorable to “evaluate the wide space for cultural cooperation that both sister countries have and consider concrete actions to move forward on that path”.

In this regard, he stressed that “Venezuela and Colombia not only share the same history but also an enormous biocultural area with a human community as diverse as it is rooted and a vocation for a common destiny that binds us together, beyond our own singularities, differences and agendas.”

In addition, he emphasized that both nations embody the integrative project of the Father of the Fatherland, Simon Bolivar; which is why they have a long history and colossal potential, in terms of culture.
