To strengthen support for the Peoples of the Middle East in their struggle for self-determination, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yvan Gil, reported that he held a meeting with the Iranian ambassador, Hoatolah Soltani.

On his Instagram account, he indicated that at the meeting they reviewed the bilateral agenda, which is increasingly consolidated as the Peoples of the Global South come together in mutually beneficial alliances.

“We had the honor of meeting with the Iranian ambassador, Hoatolah Soltani, with the objective of strengthening our shared cause in support of the Peoples of the Middle East in their struggle for self-determination,” he said.

The alliance between Iran and Venezuela is based on mutual respect. In 73 years, both countries have signed instruments of cooperation, including memorandums of understanding, contracts and agreements, in the fields of energy, health, education, technology, transport, agriculture, housing, defense and food, among others.

Venezuela and Iran share the vision of a new world order in the Non-Aligned Movement (MNOAL), the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries (FPEG) and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), which they founded in 1960 together with Iraq, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
