Venezuela and Nigeria strengthen their ties of friendship and diplomatic relations

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, held a telephone call with his counterpart from the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, with the purpose of continuing to strengthen ties of friendship and diplomatic relations between these nations.

“During this conversation, we reaffirm our joint commitment to relationships based on respect and cooperation, oriented towards mutual benefit,” said the Chancellor through his Telegram channel.

He also asserted that among the priorities of these States is the social development of both peoples.

In March of this year, Venezuela and Nigeria celebrated the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, which have always been framed by respect and cooperation, both being members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
