From New York, in the context of the 80th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, met this Monday with Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister of Oman.

The meeting was aimed at “strengthening and giving continuity to our shared commitment to friendship, cooperation and solidarity between our nations”, assumed in this same scenario in September 2024, the Chancellor said on his Telegram channel.

Last year, in the framework of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Minister Gil signed agreements with his counterpart from Oman aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation and expanding ties of friendship.

The new agreements include investments in key sectors such as trade, culture and technology, encouraging the exchange of resources and mutual understanding between peoples, in a synergy focused on opening new opportunities that benefit both nations and highlight the potential of south-south relations.

Diplomatic relations between Venezuela and Oman were established on September 29, 1986.
