The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, received in his office this Friday the director for Latin America of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Alexander Shchetinin, with whom he spoke about the militarization of the Caribbean and the recent illegal incursion of combat aircraft from the United States (USA) near the coast of Venezuela.

“On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, we express our gratitude for Russia's solidarity and reaffirm our strategic alliances,” said the Venezuelan Foreign Minister through his Telegram channel, where he stressed that the actions of North American imperialism represent a “worrying situation”

The strategic alliances between Caracas and Moscow were ratified last September 30 in the National Assembly (AN) of Venezuela, where the Strategic Partnership and Cooperation Treaty between the two countries was unanimously approved.
