Representatives of the Bolivarian Agency for Space Activities (ABAE) and a delegation from the Roscosmos State Space Corporation of the Russian Federation held a meeting to explore new areas of work, especially with regard to human talent training and technology transfer.
At the meeting, according to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), the progress of the agreement signed between the two nations, as well as mechanisms to strengthen bilateral cooperation, were also reviewed.
“A key point of discussion was the training of human talent, considered essential for the continuous updating of technological systems linked to activities in outer space,” said the president of the ABAE, Adolfo Godoy.
The meeting, held at the Generalissimo Francisco de Miranda Air Base, in La Carlota, was held as part of the inauguration of the GLONASS station, developed by Roscosmos and which will take place at the ABAE Earth Satellite Control Station, which is located in the state of Guárico.
The inauguration of this station is part of the cooperation agreements signed between Venezuela and the Russian Federation, to strengthen 12 strategic areas in the field of outer space.
