Venezuela and Russia sign new energy agreements during the XVIII CIAN Meeting

In the context of the XVIII meeting of the Venezuela-Russia High-Level Intergovernmental Commission (CIAN), which is being held this Thursday in Caracas, both countries signed new agreements on energy and aeronautics.

The meeting, led by the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, and her counterpart from the Russian Federation, Dmitry Chernyshenko, both co-presidents of the CIAN, consolidates new alliances that add to the broad map of cooperation that both nations share.

During the day, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Petroleos de Venezuela and Rosneft, regarding training, and technical advice for the comprehensive security of the energy sector.

In addition, both oil companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the area of providing oil services and technologies for the improved recovery of extra heavy crude oil.

On the other hand, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the airline Conviasa and RT project Technologies SA, in the field of Information Technology in the aviation sector.
