The Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, highlighted the meeting he held with the ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Venezuela, Trung My, at his office in Caracas, with the objective of strengthening cultural cooperation and ties of friendship between the two nations.
Through his Telegram channel, Villegas published a video highlighting the pleasant encounter and thanking the ambassador for the gift of Ho Chi Minh's book Military Thought, which he described as “a heritage of humanity's struggles against empires”. At the same time, he pointed out that the work demonstrates how a fierce people, even with few resources, can overcome the powerful.
In addition, he shared his admiration for Vietnam after its victory in the International Intervision Competition, an event in which Venezuela also participated. “A Vietnamese artist won first place with a high-quality proposal, focused on a national hero who merged traditional elements, such as bamboo, with modern music. They won in a good fight,” he said.
It also confirmed Venezuela's participation in the World Day of Cultures in Hanoi with the presentation of singer-songwriter Ali Alejandro Primera and the group Tambor y Primo from the state of Carabobo.
The Vietnam ambassador expressed his gratitude for the meeting, noting that these cultural exchanges strengthen trust and brotherhood between the two countries.
“I am sure that, if we are united, we will continue to move forward with the Venezuelan artistic presence in Vietnam,” he said. In addition, he added that these presentations will not only show the cultural richness of Venezuela, but will also transmit a message of peace and harmony to the world.
