Venezuela condemns and rejects the plan of occupation of Gaza by the Zionist government of Netanyahu

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela condemns and rejects the plan of occupation of Gaza by the regime of Benjamin Netanyahu, which has continued more than 77 years of barbarism imposed by the Zionist occupation since 1948.

Through a statement published by the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, on its social networks, Venezuela reiterates the call to the Jewish people around the world, to raise their voices against these crimes that betray their own history of struggle and suffering, and to join in the defense of peace and justice.

The following is the full text of the statement:

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela rejects with absolute firmness the Netanyahu regime's plan to occupy the Gaza Strip, an action that intensifies the genocide against the Palestinian people and prolongs more than 77 years of barbarism imposed by the Zionist occupation since 1948.

Over the past two years, this criminal policy has left more than 60,000 civilians murdered, entire communities devastated, millions displaced, vital infrastructure destroyed and an inhumane blockade that seeks to annihilate life in Palestine. This occupation plan seeks to erase the very existence of the Palestinian people and is intolerable to the conscience of humanity.

Venezuela demands that the responsible regime be immediately arrested at the political, economic, military and diplomatic levels, and reiterates the urgency of recognizing Palestine as a full member of the United Nations, with East Jerusalem as its capital, its pre-1967 borders and the safe return of all Palestinians to their land.

We call on Jewish people around the world to raise their voices against these crimes that betray their own history of struggle and suffering, and to join in the defense of peace and justice.
