With a highly positive balance and an eye set on expanding into the European market, the Venezuelan pavilion concluded its participation in the Seafood Expo Global 2026 this Saturday. During this third and final day at the Fira de Barcelona venue, the national delegation sealed a series of commercial agreements and strategic alliances that mark a milestone in the consolidation of Blue Venezuela.
Among the most outstanding agreements, there was the productive meeting with Guillermo Godiño, representative of the company Control Union, with whom it was agreed to formally start the wild fishing certification process for strategic species in the Venezuelan Exportable Offer. This agreement contemplates an exhaustive evaluation of the national fleet, consisting of approximately 500 multipurpose fishing vessels, under strict international sustainability criteria; the main objective of this alliance is to obtain the necessary quality and environmental responsibility seals to guarantee the competitive entry of Venezuelan Blue products in high-demand markets, such as the European Union and the United States of America.
According to a press release, the closing of the world's most important trade fair for the fishing industry was the ideal setting for the formalization of memorandums of understanding between Venezuelan exporting companies and major international distributors. These agreements are mainly focused on the supply of items that are part of the Exportable Offer, products that have generated massive interest due to their quality and sustainability.
In addition, agreements were concluded with strategic partners in Spain, France and other countries, focused on traceability and the export of species of high commercial value.
The Venezuelan pavilion stood out not only for its Exportable Offer, but also for presenting a comprehensive vision of marine management that combines industrial efficiency with the protection of hydrobiological resources.
Participation in Barcelona 2026 leaves a clear roadmap for increasing non-oil revenues to the country and strengthening food sovereignty, placing Creole products in the most demanding showcases in the world.
