Venezuela coordinates actions with the Vatican for the canonization of José Gregorio Hernández and Carmen Rendiles

This Saturday, October 4th, the Venezuelan ambassador to the Holy See, Franklin Zeltzer, held a meeting with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Vatican, with the objective of coordinating the necessary actions for the events related to the canonization of Doctor José Gregorio Hernández and Mother Carmen Rendiles, which are scheduled for next Sunday, 19.

This was announced by the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, through his Telegram channel, in which he referred to this meeting, which he described as “excellent”.

He also noted that the Venezuelan diplomat took the opportunity to deliver the letter sent by President Nicolás Maduro, addressed to Pope Leo XIV.

He emphasized that in the letter the Venezuelan head of state requests support from Pope Leon to consolidate peace in Venezuela, which is currently threatened by the aggressions of North American imperialism.
