Venezuela debuted with a landslide victory in five innings 11-0 over Cuba on the opening day of the V Women's Pan American Baseball Championship, at the Jorge Luis García Carneiro stadium in Macuto, in La Guaira.

The national ninth attacked from the very first act and opened the scoring, after Paola García received a ball, advanced to third with a double from Aranza Arciniega and stepped on the plate propelled by Marlyn Yéndez's rocket for the shortstop, according to the Ministry of Sport press.

Three more came in the second episode when with the bases full Kimberly Caicedo doubled to the center to push her teammates and expand the score 4-0, and they added another three lines in the next inning taking advantage of an error by the Cuban defense.

The victory by knockout took place in the fifth episode with another productive five-score rally that started Gabriela Suárez with a single and then with the bases full, Venezuela scored two with a roll and a sacrifice lift, while a single by María Ledezma and Mgreilys Angulo provided two more.

The monticular work of Yosmeily Amaro was responsible for whitening the Cuban slut with a complete five-inning job in which he barely allowed two hits, handed out four tickets and scored five strikeouts to take the win. The defeat fell to Yanet Carbonel, who accepted four annotations in 1.2 acts of work.

For the Venezuelan offensive, the forerunner Kimberly Caicedo stood out, who went 3-1 with a double and four RBIs, and Stephany Suárez hit 3-2 with a pair of scored.

Mexico, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Argentina and Venezuela participate in the V Pan-American Women's Baseball Championship, which defends the title won in the 2022 edition held on the same Guairian stage.
