The Bolivarian Government announced that at the end of August it will export 150 tons of cocoa to Russia, as
part of the trade alliance between the two countries.

The information was provided in a press release by the Ministry of Productive Agriculture and Lands, in which it indicated that “by the end of August, an additional 150 tons of cocoa will be exported to Russia, strengthening trade links between the two countries and evidencing Venezuela's production and processing capacity.”

Minister Julio León Heredia highlighted that in addition to cocoa, Venezuela also exports Venezuelan chocolate to Moscow, which represents a sample of the added value of domestic production. “We are not only exporting raw materials, but also Venezuelan chocolate of the highest level, with added value and standards of excellence,” said León.
The minister also highlighted that Venezuelan cacao has recently been awarded in Russia, certifying its superior quality and growing recognition in international markets.

During the month of July, Venezuela exported a first batch of 50 tons of cacao to Russia, as part of the current trade plan. The goal for this year is to reach a total of 3,000 tons exported, within the framework of bilateral cooperation.

Currently, there are more than 350 bilateral documents signed between Caracas and Moscow, which demonstrate the strength of the strategic relationship between the two nations
