Venezuela expresses its condolences to Nigeria for the death of former President H.E. Muhammadu Buhari

On behalf of the Venezuelan Government and people, Foreign Minister Yván Gil expressed his condolences at the death of the former president of Nigeria, H.E. Muhammadu Buhari, “a great friend of Venezuela and defender of the bonds of brotherhood between our peoples.”
Through his Telegram channel, Gil wrote: we extend our deepest condolences to his family, to the dear Nigerian people and to his Honorable Government at this time of pain.
He also said that “Buhari was a leader committed to Africa and to the Global South, leaving a legacy of dignity and cooperation. We will always remember him with respect and gratitude.”
