The Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, reported this Friday that Venezuela is formally joining the Eurasian Academy of Cinematographic Arts, following the signing of a declaration of cooperation between the Ministry of People's Power for Culture and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, respectively.

Through his Telegram channel, he highlighted that the document expresses the intention of the parties to support, develop and promote the cinematography of both countries. “The Academy will serve to unite the efforts of the national film industries, in order to stimulate the production of significant and high-quality cinematographic audiovisual works,” he said of the legal instrument.

He indicated that it also highlights the interest between both nations in participating to qualify for the Eurasian Film Award. “The Prize will honor the creation of works of great artistic value that express spiritual and moral values, both universal and national, reflect the historical cultural heritage of the countries of the parties and promote the ideals of friendship and understanding between peoples,” he said.

He specified that the Eurasian Film Academy and the Eurasian Film Award are open to the participation of other States that wish to join this specialized platform for film cooperation. “For more cinema, with love for Venezuela,” he said.
