Venezuela kicked off the Women's U-15 South American Championship with a win against Bolivia

The Venezuelan basketball team defeated its rival Bolivia 77-43 in the U-15 women's South American Championship that takes place in the city of Barquisimeto, Lara state.
With a great advantage on the scoreboard, the Criollas prevailed against the Bolivian team in which the host team started with an outstanding offensive in the second quarter, scoring 39-22 over the rival.
During the third quarter, the Venezuelans left the Bolivian women with few options because the national tricolor won 28-13.
With the score set, Venezuela slowed the pace of play in the fourth quarter and took advantage of Bolivia's offensive inaccuracies to seal its first win of the competition, taking the 10-8 run, according to a press release from the Leader.
With this victory, the national quintet starts the competition on the right foot. The goal of Venezuelan women is to choose one of the three tickets to the FIBA Americup Women's U16, which will take place in 2025.
