Venezuela present at the International Trade Union Book Fair in Mexico

Venezuela is present as a guest country at the second International Book Fair of the Workers' Union of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (FIL STUNAM).
The event will take place on the Red Esplanade of the Faculty of Medicine of the University
City, in Mexico City, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., under the
motto Books for All.
The Deputy Minister of Development for the Cultural
Economy and president of the National Book Center (CENAL), Raúl
Cazal, will participate on behalf of Venezuela, who will give this Tuesday at the Simon Bolivar Forum the conference “The decolonizing
approach since the Bolivarian Revolution”, starting at 12:15 p.m. (local time).
Also present in Venezuela will be the writer and deputy to the
National Assembly Gustavo Villapol, who this Wednesday, February 12, will
also give the conference “Use of
digital technologies as a tool for the control and neutralization of the masses” at the Simón Bolívar Forum.
Venezuela will release a sample of its literary production with the offer
of titles of various genres produced by public publishers, including those attached to
the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC): The Dog
and the Frog, Monte Avila and the Ayacucho Library, as well as by private and independent labels and publishing funds.
The country will also participate with a booth and national writers in the XXXIII International Book
Fair in Havana, Cuba, which will be held with the
motto Reading is growing from February 13 to 23, in the Parque las Fortalezas Morro Cabaña.
