During the XXII Ibero-American Conference of Ministers of Culture, held in Spain, the holder of the Culture portfolio, Ernesto Villegas, representing the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, proposed building an international instrument to protect the Cultural Heritage of countries that are victims of unilateral coercive measures.

From the venue, Villegas denounced that these “ill-called sanctions” do not affect only a handful of officials, as the hegemonic communication apparatus wanted to make the world see, but rather the entire Venezuelan population.

In that regard, he mentioned that the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, launched the Great Mission Viva Venezuela, My Beloved Homeland, an ambitious program aimed at highlighting traditional songs, dances, knowledge and cultural events, which has more than 500 thousand cultivators and creators registered voluntarily.

He denounced, as reported by the Ministry of Culture, the stalking of the nation by the United States Government.
