Venezuela puts itself at the command of Colombia to address climate emergency

In the voice of the People's Power Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expressed its solidarity with the Colombian people and government in the face of the natural disasters that occurred in Alta Guajira, El Chocó and Bogotá.

“Following instructions from President Nicolás Maduro Moros, we are sending a message of solidarity to the Colombian government and people, in the face of the emergency caused by the climate situation, mainly in Alta Guajira, El Chocó and Bogotá,” the foreign minister wrote on his Telegram channel.

In this regard, the head of Foreign Affairs made available to the Colombian Government “all our capacities to deal with this emergency situation”.

Faced with the onslaught of heavy rains suffered by the sister Republic, the Government has declared a national disaster to mobilize the necessary resources.
