Venezuela ratifies friendly relations with the Holy See, Germany, Italy and Spain

With the intention of strengthening bilateral relations with European countries, the Deputy Minister for North America and Europe of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Andrea Corao, held working meetings this Tuesday with diplomatic representatives from Germany, Spain, Italy and the Holy See, accredited in Caracas

The meetings took place at the “Antonio José de Sucre” Yellow House and began with the German ambassador, Volker Wilhelm Pellet, with whom diplomatic and cooperation ties were reviewed and strengthened.

The German diplomat was followed by the Italian chargé d'affaires, Giovanni Umberto de Vito, with whom the progress made in the joint cooperation agenda for the benefit of both peoples was evaluated.

The third meeting was held by the Spanish ambassador, Álvaro Enrique Albacete, and served to express the desire of the Bolivarian Government to strengthen relations based on mutual respect and in accordance with the principles of the United Nations Charter.

Finally, the Deputy Minister for North America and Europe received the Apostolic Nuncio of the Holy See in the country, Monsignor Alberto Ortega Martín, to whom she explained the actions taken by the Bolivarian Government to strengthen ties with the Catholic community.

The agenda developed by the diplomat reiterates Venezuela's willingness to strengthen cooperative relations with the countries of the old continent, guided by respect for self-determination and the sovereignty of peoples.
