Venezuela ready to debut against Argentina in the Softball World Cup

Venezuela will start its journey in the Softball World
Cup this Tuesday, July 7, at 4:30 in the afternoon, in Prince Albert,
when it faces its counterpart from Argentina.
Venezuela's payroll includes: Ángel
Adames, Alfredo Aguilar, Wilfredo Brito, Luis Colombo, Erwin Díaz, José
Dorantes, Rafael Flores, David Galeno, Engelberth Herrera, Maiker Pimentel,
Luiger Pinto, Edruin Ramirez, Kleiver Rodríguez, Rogelio Sequera and Eudomar Toyo, the Ministry of Sports reviews.
For Venezuela it will be his eleventh appearance
in softball world championships in which he has won a pair of medals. His
highest performance was in the Auckland, New Zealand 2013 event, when the team
led by Zulian pitcher Ramón Jones won the silver medal
after falling 4-1 in the final against the host team, and two years later in
Saskatoon, Canada 2015, he won the bronze medal by beating Australia 4-0.
Venezuela is led by historic
coach Ramón López and is part of Group A along with Argentina, New
Zealand and Canada. While group B is made up of Australia, Japan, the Dominican
Republic and the United States.
The two best teams in each bracket
will qualify for the super round from which the new champion of the
competition will emerge.
