Venezuela receives Russian tourists with the Moscow charter operation — Porlamar

A total of 333 Russian tourists arrived in the country through Santiago Mariño Caribbean International Airport, on the island of Margarita, Nueva Esparta state, 333 Russian tourists were welcomed as part of the Moscow-Porlamar charter operation. This was reported by the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism (MINTUR), Leticia Gómez, through her social networks.

The representative of the tourism portfolio highlighted that this operation began in 2021 and, to date, has a total of 43,616 visitors. He added that the tourism portfolio continues to strengthen inbound tourism as an element of development of the Venezuelan economy.

From September 2021, when the Moscow-Porlamar charter operation began, until early 2022, more than nine thousand Russian tourists arrived in the country, an activity that promotes tourism and boosts the country's economic growth. Likewise, in 2023, Venezuela received more than 33,000 tourists from the Eurasian nation, reflecting growth.
