The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela strongly condemns the cowardly and brutal attack carried out by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) against the Saudi Hospital of El Fasher, in the Republic of Sudan. This terrorist act, which has claimed the lives of more than 70 innocent civilians, mostly women and children, constitutes a serious violation of international humanitarian law and a crime against humanity.

The vile attack, deliberately directed against a hospital, a place that should be a safe haven for the sick and injured, demonstrates RSF's cruelty and disregard for human life. The use of drones to attack the emergency department reveals a clear intention to cause the greatest possible harm to the civilian population.

Venezuela expresses its deepest solidarity with the people and government of the Republic of Sudan in these difficult times. We pay tribute to the victims of this atrocity and offer our deepest condolences to their families and friends, while reiterating their full support for the fight for a future of peace and stability. Caracas, January 26, 2025.
