Venezuela runner-up in the second edition of the Caribe Kids Series

Venezuela won the silver medal in the second edition of the Caribbean Kids Series after falling in the final to its counterpart from the Dominican Republic 2-1 at the Jorge Luis García Carneiro Stadium in La Guaira.
Dominican Ángelo Feliz was chosen as the tournament's Most Valuable Player after taking the home run lead.
Also recognized were Wilfredo Jhadiel Bonilla from Panama, who was the tournament's batting leader with an average of .615, and Evan Rodríguez from Venezuela, who was the effective leader after accumulating six blank innings of nine strikeouts, without transfers and one victory during the group stage.
More than 14,300 people attended the stadium to enjoy the thrilling final.
Venezuela advanced to the final after beating Panama 2 races to 1 in the semifinals.
Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, Curaçao and the host Venezuela were the protagonists of the contest, with a total of 108 children (18 per representation), accompanied by their technicians and delegates two.
