This Wednesday, a Bolivarian National Navy vessel departed from Puerto Cabello, Carabobo state , with more than 300 tons of humanitarian aid, collected by the Venezuelan people, to support the population affected by the passage of hurricanes Rafael and Oscar in the sister Republic of Cuba.

“The Venezuelan solidarity expressed once again (...) to ourselves and from Cuba, we have always received solidarity,” Gil said.

He also noted that Venezuela has the Simón Bolívar Humanitarian Task Force to provide support to sister countries in this type of contingency, as well as sharing information on the weather monitoring carried out by its institutions.

Through a press release from the Foreign Ministry, aid sent consists of 2,500 4H kitchen units, 10,000 single and double mattresses, 10,000 galvanized sheets of zinc, 20,000 iron tubes and roof hooks and a personal hygiene kit.

Ambassador Rodríguez expressed his deep gratitude to President Nicolás Maduro, to Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, to Foreign Minister Gil, “to all the authorities, but above all to the people of Venezuela, for this generous, noble gesture, to which we are accustomed.”

“The history of brotherhood, of collaboration, of mutual support of our countries, has a long history, because together we face that criminal policy, that war waged against us by North American imperialism, only because we want to have the right to be free, independent, to be able to decide our destinies,” emphasized the Cuban diplomat.
