The Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, developed a joint work agenda with the executive president of the Honduran Institute of Tourism, Yadira Gómez, with the objective of strengthening and expanding tourist connections between the two countries.

During the meeting he held as part of his work agenda at the 26th UN Tourism Assembly, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Gómez proposed coordinating joint tourism promotion and bilateral collaboration for the creation of differentiated tourism products in the international market.

For his part, the Honduran ambassador to the Arab country, David Velásquez, discussed with Gómez the strengthening of tourism cooperation, in the context of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA-TCP), to develop multi-destination products to advance tourism alliances in the region.

They also stressed the importance of connectivity in regional tourism, staff training and legal regulations, as part of the next goals discussed at the last meeting of the member countries of the block.

Under the slogan: Tourism powered by artificial intelligence: redefining the future, this edition of UN Tourism stands out as an opportunity to follow the actions to strengthen and develop strategic relationships that have been carried out for the growth of peace tourism in the Caribbean.
