Venezuela strongly rejects illegal incursion of US combat aircraft on the country's coast

The Ministries of People's Power for Defense and for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, this Thursday, October 2, issued a joint statement, in which they strongly denounce and reject the illegal incursion of combat aircraft by the United States of North America on Venezuelan shores.

On his account on the social network Telegram, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, published the aforementioned statement, which states that U.S. combat aircraft were “detected on October 2, 2025, approximately 75 kilometers from our coast, within the Maiquetia Flight Information Region (FIR).”

“This maneuver, identified by the Comprehensive Aerospace Defense Command (CODAI), constitutes a provocation that threatens national sovereignty and contravenes the rules of international law and the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation,” the letter highlights.
