The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela thanked the President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel, for rejecting the new unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States empire against the Venezuelan nation.

The information was released by the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, through his social networks, in which he said: “On behalf of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, we express our deep gratitude to the President of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, for his firm rejection of the new unilateral coercive measures imposed by the United States against Venezuela, as well as for his call for the elimination of these illegal sanctions.”

He also reiterated that these actions on the part of the North American Government once again demonstrate the fascist and neoliberal nature of Washington's politics.

Through his social networks, Diaz-Canel argued that, “imperialism tries to impose itself on the sovereignty of other countries, but the Fatherland of Bolivar will triumph.”
