From his telegram channel, the People's Power Minister for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil thanked his South African counterpart for their solidarity in the face of threats to peace in the country.
In the text, he specified that “on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, we express our deep gratitude to the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa, Ronald Lamola, for his statements that reaffirm the friendship and solidarity between our nations in the face of the growing threats to peace and stability in our region by the United States Government. Venezuela reaffirms its commitment to a solid and fraternal bilateral relationship with sister South Africa.”
