The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, expressed the deep gratitude of the Venezuelan Government for sending an outstanding team of rescuers from the Netherlands, who have worked tirelessly with thousands of courageous national specialists to address the humanitarian emergency generated by the earthquakes of last June 24.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister recalled that the contingent of specialists in the European nation carries out their operations in full coordination with members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), fire departments, Civil Protection, police agencies and other international brigades.

This coordination of efforts focuses as a priority on the noble and urgent task of saving lives and achieving the early reunification of affected families in the areas with the greatest impact.

Institutional reports highlighted that the Venezuelan State jointly and immediately activated the necessary actions to mitigate the catastrophe caused by the double earthquake. Among the measures implemented, the creation of a General Staff in the face of natural disasters stands out, as contemplated by the laws of the Republic, an instance that has made it possible to centrally direct the massive deployment of security and rescue forces in formal search and rescue tasks.

Finally, the diplomatic authorities specified that in the face of the telluric contingency, more than 72 heads of state and government of the international community have formally expressed their support and solidarity with Venezuela.

This global support has materialized through the constant shipment of shipments of humanitarian aid, financial support and technical personnel specialized in rescue, strengthening operational capacities on the ground for the recovery of affected communities.
