This Sunday, November 09, the Foreign Minister of the Republic, Yván Gil, stressed that, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela expresses its satisfaction with the statements of the United Nations (UN) rejecting the actions of the United States (USA) against vessels in the Caribbean.

“Venezuela, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, welcomes the fact that the authorities and agencies of the United Nations system assume the responsibility to reject these unjustified aggressions against vessels,” Gil said through his Telegram channel.

He also valued their opposition to U.S. threats to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Venezuela, and the violation of international law and human rights.

However, he warned that threats and aggressions persist in a region that has been declared a Zone of Peace; for this reason, he reiterated his call to the United Nations system and multilateral organizations to use all their mechanisms to defend peace and the sovereignty of nations.

“We maintain the call to the entire United Nations system and multilateral organizations to use their mechanisms to defend the peace and sovereignty of all nations, a task that has been conferred on them by the peoples of the world,” he said.
