Venezuela will be the global epicenter of the Congress in Defense of Mother Earth, which will be held in Caracas from October 09 to 10, with the participation of more than three thousand people, including experts, leaders, activists, social movements, environmentalists, scientists, academics, students, ecosocialist councils and People's Power.

In a publication published by the Ministry of People's Power for Ecosocialism, it states that the event will have 2,657 national and 253 international guests from 56 countries around the world.

Nine topics are planned to be discussed, such as the climate crisis and the prevailing socio-economic model; biodiversity at risk; the rights of Mother Earth; socio-environmental conflicts and human rights; pollution and waste; sustainable economy; education and environmental culture; intergenerational justice and youth; international alliances and concrete actions.

On the Bicentennial of the Chuquisaca Decree, issued by El Libertador Simón Bolívar, the Bolivarian Government led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, takes a step forward to bring together the peoples of the world, who will raise their voices to debate, generate proposals and join efforts to act in a concrete way in the face of the emergency and the effects of the capitalist climate crisis.

This important event will be the prelude to the Conference of the Parties (COP30), to be held in November 2025 in the city of Bethlehem in the Federative Republic of Brazil, and will allow us to unify criteria on urgent and cross-cutting issues affecting the planet, through the integration of scientific, political, social, economic, spatial, territorial and cultural perspectives.
