The Venezuelan athlete Luisaigna Campos won the silver medal at the Chengdu 2025 World Games in the -54 kg sambo category, a competition in which she was surpassed by the Uzbek Gulsevar Urakova.

The Venezuelan began her participation in this tournament in the quarterfinals, in which she defeated Russia 's Mariia Doroshenko by a large score of 9 to 1. After that, the world champion advanced to the semifinals to dominate the Kyrgyz Akak uson Kyzy 8-0, managing to make it to the final. However, the aforementioned Uzbek woman managed to end her streak by a tight score of 3-1, the Ministry of People's Power for Sports reported in a press release.

This becomes the second medal won by Venezuela at the Chengdu World Games after the bronze won by the men's national softball team.
