Venezuelan beach volleyball achieved a historic feat by qualifying its women's and men's pairs for the U-18 Beach Volleyball World Cup, which will be held from October 7 to 11 in Doha, Qatar.

This classification was secured after an outstanding performance in the South American Championship of the category, which was held last weekend in Lima, Peru, where both couples won the bronze medal.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Popular Power for Sports, the women's duo, made up of Valeria Moreno and Aidana Mejías, not only won the ticket to the World Cup, but also took the podium. In the third place match, they beat the Ecuadorian pair with a score of 2-1 (21-14, 21-11, 15-8).

For their part, the male partner of Sebastián Pereira and Gerardo Bordones, also secured their place in the World Cup when they reached the semifinals of the tournament.
