The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, rejected the recent illegitimate imposition of unilateral coercive measures by the outgoing Government of the United States against Venezuelan officials, who work for the welfare of the country and announced his next award.

The head of state stated that the U.S. empire has tried all its strategies and formulas in Venezuela without success. “Now, openly, he threatens to impose more sanctions on the country,” the president rejected during an event at the Libertador Military Air Base in the state of Aragua.

It is worth remembering that the United States Department of the Treasury announced sanctions against 21 officials, including military personnel, ministers, vice-ministers and representatives of the national economy.
