Venezuelan Jackson
Chourio became the youngest player to record a
season with 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases, at just 20 years old, in Major League Baseball (MLB).
The player from Zulia is the
third player aged 20 or younger with 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases in a
season, along with Vada Pinson (1959) and Mike Trout (2012), being the first
born in Latin America to do so.
Chourio's feat was in the Milwaukee Brewers versus the
San Francisco Giants, in the top of the eighth episode, when he hit a home run
with a man on base to increase his team's lead to 3-0.
The Venezuelan bats
for an average of .272, with 20 home runs, 71 RBIs, 20
stolen bases and an OPS of .791, according to sports media.
