Venezuelan sprinters won six medals at the José Barrientos Memorial held in Havana, Cuba, with 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze.
The men's quartet made up of David Vivas, Bryant Álamo, Alexis Nieves and Ángel Alvarado climbed to the top of the podium in the 4×100 with a time of 39.70.
For their part, in the women's section, the runners Orangys Jiménez, Hilary Rivas, Orihana Guzmán and Glanyernis Guerra won the silver medal in the short relay with a time of 44.82.
Jiménez also joined the podiums of the 100 and 200 meters smooth, in the hectometer he won bronze with a time of 11.52 seconds, and in the 200 silver with 23.73
In the 200 meters straight, her compatriot Rivas accompanied her to third place on the podium with a time of 24.38.
Meanwhile, the sprinter Álamo added a silver metal to the tricolor medal table in the double hectometer with a record of 21.50.
On the other hand, Yenniver Veroes won silver in hammer throwing with 62.35 meters. Meanwhile, Ahymara Espinoza won bronze in the thrust of the bullet and so did Ottainys Febres, but on a disc with 52.32 meters.
