Approximately 70 youth rugby athletes are training with the aspiration of forming the team that will represent Venezuela in the South American Championship in Paraguay, which will be held in November of this year.
Athlete training takes place in Carabobo and the module will evaluate the performance and physical condition in endurance, speed and strength of male athletes from the states of Aragua, Bolivar, Caracas, Lara, Mérida, Miranda, Zulia and the host state.
The president of the Venezuelan Rugby Federation (FVR), Erickson Bermúdez, indicated that he foresees an extensive schedule of competitions at the end of this year for the future selection of this discipline.
Bermúdez also explained that this selection would be the youngest in the history of this sport in Venezuela, because previously in the Venezuelan nation, categories such as m-21 or m-19 were maintained.
During days 5 and 6, the second of five modules would be completed, making up a high-performance plan that guides each player to their maximum physical performance, in addition to strengthening their technical, tactical and mental preparation.
