Venezuelan youth were awarded by Russia after their excellent participation in the International Science Physics Olympiad 2025

The four Venezuelan students who participated in the International Physics Olympiad 2025 were awarded the National Diamond Award for their outstanding performance in this competition organized by the Russian Federation.
This was reported by the Minister of Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, through a post on her Telegram channel in which she highlighted that these young people are part of the national Scientific Semillero program.
“Mireya Sofía Bermúdez Muñoz, Mariangel de Jesús Villamizar Ojeda, Gabriela Alexandra Monasterios Medina and Samuel Jesús Durán Rodríguez demonstrated their abilities at the International Olympiad of Scientific Physics 2025. Their participation was remarkable and fills us with pride!” , said the also sector vice-president of Science, Technology, Education and Health.
Jiménez also recalled that the joust, organized by the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) and the Government of Janti Mansi - Yugra, was attended by young people from all over the world, who competed in theoretical and experimental physics tests.
Finally, he expressed the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to accompany the brilliant generation in their love for science.
“Let's continue to sow the seed of knowledge in our great generation. Let us promote in them a love for science to guarantee early vocations in the face of future challenges,” he concluded.
