The VI Biennial of the South, Peoples in Resistance: The Power of Diversity will be inaugurated on October 10, at 11:00 in the morning, at the National Cinematheque of the Museum of Fine Arts, to exhibit works by national and international artists.

This was announced by the Institute for the Arts of the Image and Space (IARTES), an entity attached to the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture, which recalled that the event was initially scheduled from January 3 to 16 of this year.

In this regard, he reported that more than 150 artists from 16 countries are participating in the VI Southern Biennial, including the nations that are part of the BRICS group (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), to celebrate the most important plastic arts in Venezuela and the Caribbean.

Among the disciplines, the following stand out: Sculpture, photography, video art, textiles and installations, among others, with the purpose of transforming the capital city into a scene of resistance, diversity and artistic encounter.

The event seeks to celebrate cultural diversity and contemporary art with different disciplines and works by artists who advocate for a diverse humanity.
