The
Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, participated
this Thursday in the 25th edition of the World Forum on Special Economic Zones
(SEZ) and the Transition to New Economic Models, where she highlighted the experience
of the People's Republic of China as an example to advance in these spaces for
the development of countries.
“This Forum will
allow us a space to share experiences, but above all to learn about
the experience of China's Special Economic Zones, the role they have
played in China's economic development, but also the role they play in
showing the world a different form of development for the well-being of
peoples, for well-being and growth with equality and with social justice,” Rodríguez
said during his speech at the event, held in Caracas.
He highlighted the
importance that the Bolivarian Government, headed by President
Nicolás Maduro, attaches to the ZEE. “It was a campaign promise that was fulfilled with the
people, the Special Economic Zones Act, and five
economic zones were created to promote localized development with fiscal facilities, but that would allow us to give impetus to specific areas of
our country,” he said.
In this regard,
he explained the evolution of the EEZ in the Asian giant and how “the dream of the
80s” has now become a reality that impacts the entire world,
which “tells us as a people that we can face the worst adversities,
with the will of a people led towards the same strategic objective of
development, of growth, of believing in the future of our country”.
