The women's national baseball team achieved its second victory in the elimination round of the V Pan-American Championship in the category held at the Jorge Luis García Carneiro stadium in Macuto, in the state of La Guaira, after knocking out its Argentine counterpart 17-0.

First baseman Marlyn Yéndez was the most outstanding with the wood starting 1-1 with three RBIs and one scored, secured by waitress Gabriela García, who dispatched a couple of hits, drove in two lines and scored the same number of runs, according to the Ministry of Sport press review.

As far as the hill is concerned, starter Yenny Tovar worked two episodes, fanned five opponents and allowed a couple of tickets. The victory went to reliever Alejandra Morales with a blank entry, without allowing hits and only granted a passport.

This victory keeps Venezuela in first place in the standings with two victories without defeats, the same record as Mexico, while Cuba and Nicaragua are third without victories and one loss, and Argentina closes with a couple of setbacks.
