Women's national baseball team won the crown in the V Pan American Championship

The women's national baseball team became champion of the 5th Pan-American Championship of the discipline, which was held at the Jorge Luis García Carneiro stadium in Macuto, in the state of La Guaira.
Venezuela won the crown after defeating its counterpart from Mexico in the final 9 races by 8.
The Venezuelan offensive was led by Kimberly Caicedo who went 4-3 with a triple, a pair of RBIs and a pair of scored runs and Gabriela García with two uncatchables, including a three-base hit, a pair of charters and the same number of steps on the plate.
The victory went to Marlyn Yendez, who threw for 1.2 innings in which she struck out three opponents and put the lock on the victory, and she also won the tournament's Most Valuable Player award.
The Criollas reached the final after winning 10 races to 1 against Nicaragua in the semifinals of the Pan American Championship and qualifying for the world championship in the category.
Venezuela revalidated the crown won against Cuba in 2022.
