World Poetry Movement backs President Maduro in the face of imperial aggression

The World Poetic Movement -Venezuela Chapter- vigorously rejected the claim of the Government of the United States (USA) to “put a price” on the life of a human being, through spokespersons of genocidal imperialism who intend to build a brutal campaign against the Venezuelan president, Nicolás Maduro Moros.

Through a statement, signed by hundreds of the nation's intellectuals, writers, artists and poets, the movement raises its firm and resolute word in solidarity with President Maduro, “and against that spurious and miserable death sentence.”

They ratified that the national president is a worker and fighter “to maintain the peace and independence of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which is the stability of the region as a whole and the continuity of friendly relations with peoples and governments that affirm life, of the stability of a nation and that gives continuity to friendly relations with peoples and governments that reaffirm life and sovereignty.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, spokespersons for evil, in the midst of this grievance, you will find us anywhere to defend our own, what we have historically achieved since the undefeated times of El Libertador Simon Bolivar: freedom and independence. It is the life of our president, it is the life of all of us, what we will defend,” they warned.
