As part of the activities to celebrate World Tourism Day, a 5K Race and Walk will be held in the city of Caracas, this Sunday, September 21, announced the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez.

The starting point will be at 7:30 a.m. on Francisco de Miranda Avenue, at the height of the Generalissimo de Miranda Park. The initiative, designed for runners of all ages and levels, will offer a day of sports and family recreation.

This type of activity is promoted by the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, as part of the policies that strengthen this economic engine of the nation, contemplated in the Plan for the Fatherland.

Categories and awards

The competition will have a wide variety of categories that guarantee the inclusion of all participants. There will be a position for users of prostheses, reduced mobility, as well as youth, free, master's and super master's degrees, among others.

The first three places in the race will be rewarded with financial incentives: first place will receive $500, second place $300 and third place will receive $150.

To ensure participation, interested parties can formalize their registration through the retosvenezuela.com website. The delivery of the kits for those enrolled will take place on Saturday, September 20.
