Yaracuy will host the First National Beekeeping Congress in 2026

The Bolivarian government announced that the entity is preparing for the first “Yaracuy Potencia” Beekeeping Congress, which is scheduled for May 2026 in San Felipe, as part of the celebration of World Bee Day.

This was announced by the president of the Environment and Water Commission of the Legislative Council of Yaracuy State (CLEY), Sandy Cardona, who indicated that the event seeks to establish the basis for the strategic development of this sector in the region and throughout the country.

Cited by a state press release, the official explained that “we need to change the vision we have about how we should relate to this important living being, fundamental to life, the environment and food security.”

Cardona noted that several institutions are involved in the plan, including the ministries of Ecosocialism, Agriculture and Lands, Food, Education, Communes, Science and Technology and Tourism, in addition to the Government, CLEY, environmental foundations and beekeeping producers from different regions of the country.
