The Venezuelan team The Spartans, made up of Venezuelan students Manuel Makencie, David Rosario and Hassan Hammoud, from the National Scientific Seeds Program, won the gold medal in the Junior Category of the prestigious international competition “Ai For Good 2025” that was held in Switzerland.
The information was released by the Minister of Popular Power for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, through a post on her Instagram account, in which she explained that Makencie and Rosario are 14 years old and Hammoud 15 years old.
“This achievement not only exalts our country, but it also demonstrates the power of education, the vision of the future and the impetus that our president Nicolas Maduro has given to science and technology with programs such as the Scientific Incubator, which he himself has called “the brilliant generation of Venezuela, the builders of the new Homeland,” said the Minister.
The Ai For Good 2025 contest promotes open and sustainable innovation, encouraging the use of free software and hardware, as well as recyclable materials to create robotic and artificial intelligence solutions that benefit humanity, which is organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
