The young people of the National Scientific Seedbeds Program of the state of Trujillo participated in a preparatory workshop for the second phase of the first Venezuelan Astronomy Olympics (OVA 2025), which will be held on April 30 across the country.
This training was led by Professor Yohan Godoy, from the Ministry of Popular Power for Education, with the support of the team from the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (FUNDACITE) and the Development Center for Educational Quality of the state of Trujillo.
The activity was carried out at the Rafael Rangel Educational Complex, in the Valera municipality, housing students from the municipalities of Valera, Escuque and San Rafael de Carvajal.
During the process, young people were able to clarify doubts related to the content guidelines of the OVAs and to delve into topics such as the laws of physics, including those of Newton and Kepler, parallax, astronomical units, among other aspects.
Strategies for solving Olympic problems were also explained, preparing Trujillo students successfully for the next challenge.
The second phase of the OVA 2025 will include the participation of 1,440 young people from all over Venezuela, who were selected after successfully passing the test carried out on March 14, in more than 500 educational institutions in the country.
This fair of knowledge is an experience that strengthens the early vocations of the country's great generation, as part of a policy guided by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, through the Great Mission of Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán.
