The Minister of Popular Power for Youth, Sergio Lotartaro, reported that since June 14, meetings have been held in the Community Councils, which will last until the 22nd of the current month. He explained that these meetings aim to learn about the Youth Dream Map, an initiative that seeks to collect ideas and projects for the development of their territories.

Lotartaro explained that, from July 15 to 22, an intense house-to-house campaign will be carried out to promote participation in the consultation. “We are going to have a strong week in which we are going to hold meetings at the more than 40,000 Community Councils to find out what the Youth Dream Map is.”

In addition, he highlighted that young people, in their Community Council, have come out to discuss their dreams and aspirations in their territory, their community, their building and their neighborhood, with the purpose of showing the different ideas and projects that can contribute to the development of their entities.

For his part, the Minister of Popular Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture, Ángel Prado, emphasized that this consultation will make youth leadership visible throughout the country. “Youth are the soul and hope of the Venezuelan Commune, of the historic project,” he said, highlighting the commitment of young people to the promotion of productive alternatives and employment and work projects.

In this regard, during the Digital Zone segment of the Con Maduro+ program, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, called on young people to join the initiative to vote for his project on July 27. In addition, he highlighted the importance of this democratic process, which seeks to strengthen the participation of young people in the construction of community projects and in decision-making about the future of the country.

He explained that the application schedule for youth projects in communities is already underway and that each of the Seven Transformations (7T) must have a proposed project. In turn, he emphasized that the possibility of including new proposals that arise in the process will be left open, allowing young people to express their ideas and needs in a free and participatory manner.

The national president stressed that, once the application map has been consolidated, a balance sheet meeting will be held to evaluate the main projects.

With this consultation, the Bolivarian Government reaffirms its commitment to youth and its role in building the country's future. The initiative seeks to consolidate a model of participatory democracy in which young people are protagonists of change to promote the social, economic and political development of Venezuela.
