This Monday, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, during his speech at the 61st regular session of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations (UN), which takes place in Geneva, Switzerland, assured that Venezuela has every willingness to resolve differences with the United States (USA), through political and diplomatic dialogue.

“Today we are working on a process of recognizing wounds, of forgiveness and of reunion,” said the Venezuelan diplomat and stressed that the Bolivarian Government has always been a promoter of national dialogue and reconciliation.

Foreign Minister Gil added to his speech the recent approval of the Amnesty Law by the National Assembly (AN), an instrument aimed at consolidating peace and national reconciliation.

“In accordance with this legal document, a Special Monitoring Commission is created, reaffirming that Venezuela resolves its internal affairs with its own constitutional framework and in defense of democratic coexistence,” said Gil.

Venezuela has decided the path of peace with sovereignty. The path of dialogue without renouncing our principles. The path of internal reconciliation without forgetting justice. The path of international cooperation based on the legal equality of States”.

The chancellor insisted on the national demand that the Human Rights Council be able to look at itself with a critical spirit, to be able to correct its deviations and act with the same firmness in the face of any violation, wherever it comes from.

At the close of his speech, the Venezuelan representative strongly demanded “the cessation of all unilateral coercive measures, which are not only contrary to international law, but have violated the economic, social and cultural human rights of millions of Venezuelans”.
